Scrapbooking Made Simple: Part I

I've been scrapbooking for over two years now, it's mainly for my own enjoyment and for having a physical place to organize my thoughts, memories and some important photos. It's kind of like my blog, except instead of sharing it with everyone, my scrapbook is meant to be a private space.

Large: 11" x 13"
I received my first "Smash Book" as a gift on Christmas two years ago, and that pretty much got me started on keeping a scrapbook.

What is smash book?
Smash Books are basically books that are made for easy-scrapbook creation.  It's created by K&Company with the idea that you can capture all the big and little moments in your daily life by quickly adding (smashing) photos,  writings and whatever else that comes to mind onto the pages.  Every page already has a theme, so you never have to worry about it being too plain. Just find the page that you like for that particular day, and start "smashing" things onto it.   It also comes with a smash stick, which has a pen on one end, and glue on the other end to make adding photos and writings convenient.

Depending on the size of the Smash book that you purchase, it may or may not have any folders inside.  The larger one, like the one above 11" x 13", do have folders inside so it can hold loose pages, photos and trinkets as well.  I personally prefer the notebook size, approximately 10.5" x 8", which is the one pictured below (and no, Hello Kitty is not on the was just a sticker that I stuck there).  I like the notebook size smash book because it's more portable, you can take it with you anywhere you go and it doesn't take up that much space. This is actually a really relaxing and fun way to organize those precious memories <3

There are lot of accessories that you can add to your Smash book, including bookmarks, note pads, folders, calendars, decorative tapes, etc. Of course, you don't have to buy any of these things to start a scrapbook, you can always dig into your creative soul, and start making your own unique art/design for your scrapbook. Just make sure you have fun with it!!!

Oh So Cute! Disney Tsum Tsum Lip Smacker Lip Balm Collection

How many lip balms can anyone really use? - probably not that many, but how can you resist these cute Disney Tsum Tsum lip balms?  The suggested retail price is about $4.95 each, which is not bad until you realized that you can't just buy one and not the others.  I ended up walking out of the store with 4 super adorable lip balms, and $20 less in my wallet...but it's all worth it (I think) These lip balm pots are formulated to moisturize and leave a translucent shine on your lips.  They are also considered collectible items with 4 special edition flavors.  I don't know how long they will be available for purchase,  but I did find mine at a local Walgreens recently.  I'm pretty sure you can check out other major drugstores around your city, or visit Lip Smacker online to buy them.  I hope they will come out with more characters in the future. <3 Mickey: Marshmallow Pop Minnie: Strawberry Lollipop Winnie the Pooh: Honey Pot Stitch: Blueberry Wave

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color (7R Raspberry Red) Review

I've been looking forward to getting my hair colored and it finally happened, thanks to a couple of lovely family members that helped me out!  Sorry it took me a while to review the Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color, but I just got it done yesterday and here's what I think about it.   I normally get my hair colored at the Salon, but this time I decided to do it myself (well, I didn't get it all done entirely by myself...but mainly because I wanted an even coating all around so I decided to ask for some assistance.) I think the Hello Bubble Foam Color is actually quite convenient and easy to handle even by yourself,  if you don't care about sectioning your hair into smaller bunches.  Treat it like you are shampooing your hair, and it will probably come out alright.  Before you start dying your hair, I would recommend applying a bit of vaseline or baby oil around your hairline and on your ears as well, so that your skin won't get stained if yo

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color (7P Vintage Rose Pink) Review

At the end of 2014, I wanted to change my hair color, but I didn't have anything specific in mind.  I went to the local drugstores in my area and looked at a lot of colors and read their ingredients--and I went home feeling uninspired by all of it.  So I thought, maybe I should just dye my hair the same raspberry red from Hello Bubble as I did before.   I went online to shop for it, and that led me to the new color called 7P Vintage Rose Pink. I knew instantly that was the color I wanted to try!  I had a great experience with this brand the first time when I used it ( Check Out My Previous Post For 7R Raspberry Red ), so I wasn't worried about the formula, but more about how and if the color would turn out on my hair.   Once again, Hello Bubble Foam Color did not disappoint me! I loved it!  Why I like the Formula :  I've mentioned in my previous post that I really like the foam formula.  It's non-drippy, and extra easy to apply by yourself (this time I re
