September 2014 IPSY Bag Unboxing

Sorry it took me so long to finally show you what's in my very first IPSY bag!   I received this last month, and it's $10/month for the subscriptions (tax might be added depending on your location). Even though it's late, but I hope you will still enjoy this.

The September IPSY bag came in this really cute studded silver/gunmetal pouch.  I received 5 items in my bag, and at least 3 of them are full size products.

#1) Pacifica 7 Free Nail Color in "Red Red Wine"  (0.45 fl oz.) - full size product.  Retail $9

About it: 100% Vegan Cruelty-free.  7 FREE is formulated without parabens, phthalates (dibutyl phthalate), toluene, xylene, camphor, formaldehyde, resin, and animals.

What I think: I have the actual color on my nail in the photo.  I painted my nails about a week+ ago, so if the color doesn't look as great, it's because I've had it on for a while, not because of the product.  I think the nail polish lasted a pretty long time, and I only had to paint 2 coats since the formula is thick and goes on smoothly, and it's fast drying.  Love it!

#2) Be A Bombshell Smooth Criminal Powder (4g) - full size product.  Retail $12

About it: 100% silica powder.  You can apply the powder alone or over foundation to minimize the look of fine lines and pores.
What I think: This powder is very fine, so it doesn't look like you are wearing a white cakey powder on your face. My skin is a bit sensitive to powder that clog pores, but I had no reaction to this one at all.  It does make your skin look smoother.

#3) Briogeo Don't Despair Repair! (1 fl oz.) - sample size product.

Full size product is 5.25 fl oz, retail price $26.00

About it: The description from their website says that it's fortified with ultra-hydrating avocado, sweet almond & argan oils, strengthening keratin protein, power-conditioning rosehip oil, soothing aloe, and super hair-essential vitamins B5, D, A, E and biotin.  The unique complex of targeted ingredients helps increase hair elasticity and moisture to prevent breakage, promotes healthy shine and luster, and replenishes strength.

What I think: I'm looking forward to trying this one out, it seems like a lot of people say that it's really good.  Will update on this later.

#4) Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze Blush Stick (0.24 oz) - full size product.  Retail $7.99

About it:  This Maybelline Blush Stick is supposed to make your cheeks look dewy with a bit of sheer blush color.  Liquid shimmer pearls + shea butter glide will make it a blendable blush color that goes on smoothly and evenly.

What I think: Even though it's fall, but where I'm at, it still feels like summer. I want to save this product for when the weather kicks in to fall and winter.  I will of course update on this once I try it out!

#5) Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser With Cucumber + Watercress (1 fl oz.) - sample size product.

Full size product is 6 fl oz., Retail price $13.99

About it: This is a gentle cleanser that washes away impurities without drying, irritating or causing redness. Cucumber hydrates and soothes, while watercress that is rich in antioxidants, helps protect skin from free radical damage. Fragrance-Free. Alcohol-Free. Gluten-Free. Vegan.

What I think: I will need to update this as well.  Sorry!!

Oh So Cute! Disney Tsum Tsum Lip Smacker Lip Balm Collection

How many lip balms can anyone really use? - probably not that many, but how can you resist these cute Disney Tsum Tsum lip balms?  The suggested retail price is about $4.95 each, which is not bad until you realized that you can't just buy one and not the others.  I ended up walking out of the store with 4 super adorable lip balms, and $20 less in my wallet...but it's all worth it (I think) These lip balm pots are formulated to moisturize and leave a translucent shine on your lips.  They are also considered collectible items with 4 special edition flavors.  I don't know how long they will be available for purchase,  but I did find mine at a local Walgreens recently.  I'm pretty sure you can check out other major drugstores around your city, or visit Lip Smacker online to buy them.  I hope they will come out with more characters in the future. <3 Mickey: Marshmallow Pop Minnie: Strawberry Lollipop Winnie the Pooh: Honey Pot Stitch: Blueberry Wave

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color (7N Mocha Latte) Review

Oh my gosh, I think this is my favorite Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color so far.  The last couple of times that I decided to dye my hair, I went with the redder shades, they came out nice, but harder to see under certain lighting. For this coming fall/autumn, I decided to go brown. I bought the Hello Bubble Foam Color in 7N Mocha Latte which came in the new "Girl's Day" packaging-I'm actually not sure who they are, but I'm guessing they are a K-pop group. This product is definitely one of my all time favorite! This box came with all the usual Hello Bubble Foam Color components; it included the hair colorant, a hair coloring cape/cover, a pair of gloves, and a small packet of conditioner (I prefer to use my own). From looking at the before and after photos on the box, I did not expect the color to be very noticeable on my hair.  The color itself seemed a little too dark to have any effect on my already dark hair.   To my surprise, this color gave me the

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color (7P Vintage Rose Pink) Review

At the end of 2014, I wanted to change my hair color, but I didn't have anything specific in mind.  I went to the local drugstores in my area and looked at a lot of colors and read their ingredients--and I went home feeling uninspired by all of it.  So I thought, maybe I should just dye my hair the same raspberry red from Hello Bubble as I did before.   I went online to shop for it, and that led me to the new color called 7P Vintage Rose Pink. I knew instantly that was the color I wanted to try!  I had a great experience with this brand the first time when I used it ( Check Out My Previous Post For 7R Raspberry Red ), so I wasn't worried about the formula, but more about how and if the color would turn out on my hair.   Once again, Hello Bubble Foam Color did not disappoint me! I loved it!  Why I like the Formula :  I've mentioned in my previous post that I really like the foam formula.  It's non-drippy, and extra easy to apply by yourself (this time I re
