Love That!

I'm a bit picky when it comes to buying cotton rounds/cotton pads for skincare.  In the past, I've used cotton pads and cotton balls that were extremely linty, and I've always disliked them. Then a few years ago, I found some super amazing cotton pads (not sure if they were 100% cotton or not) from a Japanese $1 store, Daiso -- well, I guess it's more like $1.50 store now, and I've been buying my cotton pads from there ever since. When I recently ran out of cotton pads, my sister introduced me to Swisspers cotton rounds. They are hypoallergenic cotton rounds that are made with 100% cotton. They are currently sold at Costco for $12.99 (900 count) which is only slightly more expensive than the ones I bought at Daiso, so I decided to try them out.  Each cotton round has a textured surface on one side, and a smooth surface on the other. Here's a swatch for another lipstick that I picked up at Sephora over the holidays.  It's the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in "Melted Fig" It was my first time trying this lipstick, and I loved it!  My lips are more pigmented, so I generally like to wear colors that are a bit more vibrant.  This lipstick goes on smoothly, and it's pretty easy to paint with the sponge tip.  Once it's set on the lips, the color does last for a while, but it will fade if you decide to eat or drink.  Overall, I love the colors and the formula, and I would definitely recommend this to everyone.  If you like to wear vibrant mauve colors, I think this would be a great choice!

I love this glossy stain! It goes on smoothly, and stays on pretty well. It feels a bit sticky when you first apply it to your lips, but dries up a bit after and still looks glossy.  The only thing that I don't love about this glossy stain is the smell, but overall a great lip gloss stain.   <3

Innisfree Mineral Blusher Color: 05 Apricot Approx. Price: $ 7-8 (online:  en.koreadepart.com) My friend's niece brought this over from Korea when she visited the States, and I was lucky enough to have been given this blush along with many other popular Korean beauty products. <3   I've heard of Innisfree, and have seen their numerous product placements in Korean dramas, so I know how popular it is in Asia.  The packaging is very simple, and the quality is great!  As you can tell, I've been using this a lot, it's definitely my go to blush.  It has a lovely golden shimmery sheen that gives your face a nice healthy glow. The formula is lightweight, the color is beautiful,  and the quality is excellent.  Best part is, it's extremely inexpensive.  Love it!

It's already October, what does this mean?  It means that Halloween is just around the corner, families will be gathering for Thanksgiving next month, and crazy steals and deals will be available on Black Friday & Cyber Monday, Christmas is roughly two and a half months away, but most importantly October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month! This may not be a topic of choice for many people, but as a woman, I truly believe that it's important for all of us to spread the word and raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. We all have women in our lives that are important to us, whether it's our mother, our sister(s), our friends, etc., and even ourselves.   Simply by encouraging anyone over 40 to take the initiative to consult with the doctor about when they should start getting mammogram, or by encouraging adult women of all ages including ourselves to perform breast self-exams at least once a month, we can be making a difference.   ...
