Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish

I was really excited about this product when I saw it at the store. I love to get my nails done, whether it's getting it done professionally, or giving myself an at-home manicure. I've had my share of gel manicures, and I usually start out being really happy with it, until the color starts to chip. Then my nails turn really ugly, and I can't stop myself from picking at it. Before I can get myself to the nail salon, most of the gel are already off, and my nails are super fragile :(
When I saw this product on display at Walgreens, I decided to check it out. It says, "No Light" or "Sans Lampe" all over the cap. It's a NO UV/LED gel nail polish that only requires the use of their miracle top coat. It supposedly can last up to 14 days, and can be removed with your regular nail polish remover. How can I walk away from that right?
I checked out their colors, and this rosy pink color caught my eyes. I painted my nails last night, and it looks just like the color in the bottle. I love it! They have over 45 shades available, and I think they do have a special 2-bottle set available at certain stores, but I didn't see it at my local Walgreens. There is no special instruction for this, it's just like regular nail polish. Just make sure you buy the top coat along with your color(s). The instruction said to apply two coats of nail polish, but I would actually suggest three, especially if the color is light and if you see it streaking a bit. I would also try to let the nail polish dry in between each coat. Definitely let the nails dry completely before using the top coat, otherwise it might smudge when you apply the top coat and ruin everything. I think that's pretty much all that you need to pay attention to. This is technically the first full day since I painted my nails, and so far so good. I will definitely update this post to let you know how long my nail color lasted before it starts chipping.
Note: The top coat is definitely not as shiny as the professional gel nails, but it didn't really bother me that much. It's not the most perfect gel manicure that you can get, but for a d.i.y. manicure...it's not bad.
For the price and convenience of an at-home gel mani, I would give this product
Update on my nails:
Well, it's day 4! My nail colors finally started to chip a little bit around the edges. I haven't been babying them or anything...so I'm pretty satisfied with the result so far.
