Masks from TheFaceShop, My Beauty Diary, Masqueology, DHC & Amore Pacific Primera |
Sorry it took me a bit longer than anticipated to try all these masks out and review them for you. In the first masks review on June 1st, I talked about Masqueology Cell Renewal Mask, TheFaceShop Co-Q10 Mask, TheFaceShop Ceramide Collagen Mask, and My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask. In this review, I'll try to cover the rest of them if possible.
1. Chidoriya's Nightingale Dropping Mask Powder
I'm going to start with this Chidoriya's Nightingale Dropping Mask Powder. The description for this mask says that it's a natural enzyme of nightingale droppings that removes all trace of dirt and gently exfoliates dead skin. It's supposed to leave your skin feeling smoother, softer, and brighter. I think for this particular mask, it's more like a love-hate relationship for me. I love the result of it, I think it does make my skin feel softer and brighter the next day, but it smells really, really, really bad! I remember it smelling like urine, not really something that I enjoyed leaving on my face. I've only used it once so far, and it's mainly because I don't like the idea of putting nightingale droppings on my face and having to endure the odor. I do think that if you can get past all of that, it's an excellent mask. If you are more adventurous about your masks, then you should try it out!2. Primera (Amore Pacific) Shea Butter Hand Mask
I love this hand mask, it's so moisturizing. I had it on for about 20 minutes, and when I took off the glove, my hands felt really warm and were covered in lotion. I quickly patted the excess lotion into my hands, and it absorbed really quickly. My hands did not feel sticky at all, and they were extremely soft and had a nice glow to it the next day. I would definitely recommend this one! I need to get some more of this for myself.3.DHC Neck Mask
The DHC Neck Mask is an interesting one. It's a revitalizing moisture strip for the neck and you can leave it on for 20-30 minutes or overnight. I like this neck strip, but I do not recommend using it while other people are over at your house. It's not a very attractive strip, and people might think something is wrong with your neck :( I've tried this neck strip several times already, it has a cooling sensation when you apply it to the neck. The strip itself is not wet, it has more of a gel-like texture that stays on your neck, but it's not sticky enough to leave on overnight. I've actually tried that once, but by the next morning it fell off my neck and was on my blanket instead. I think we do need to invest in some sort of neck masks or neck serum, so that we can use them to prevent the skin on our neck from sagging as we age. (Note: this product may be discontinued...I couldn't find it on their website anymore.)4. DHC Q10 Mask
This is a revitalizing sheet mask that is supposed to help combat visible signs of aging and promote a firmer, more radiant complexion. It has hyaluronic acid, rosewater, and olive leaf extract for hydrating your skin. I do like the formula, it's not very sticky and it's lightly scented. But overall, I don't find it as hydrating as some of the other masks that I've already reviewed, I would probably go with a Q10 mask from TheFaceShop instead.
